----------------------------------------
Much of my advertising and marketing experience was gained as Advertising Manager of Adams Fairacre Farms. My hands-on approach to developing an in-house marketing and advertising program for this well-respected, family-owned company was complete and intense. For nearly 15 years I managed the advertising and marketing budget that encompassed art direction, print design and production, radio copywriting, media buying, public relations and marketing promotions. I reported directly to the owners of the company and built a strong four-man team of talented, active professionals.
While working at Adams, I began to recognize the important role local business plays in the vitality and individuality an area. Focusing on small businesses and organizations in Ulster, Dutchess and Orange Counties, I began a small freelance graphic design business in 1992.
My educational background is strongly grounded in Journalism. I graduated from the State University College of New York at Brockport with a B.S. in Communication and from the State University College of New York at Morrisville with an A.A.S. in Journalism Technology, Phi Theta Kappa. Before entering the field of advertising, I worked for several large daily newspapers in editorial, ad service and production capacities.
I am currently involved with many local organizations including The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce, The Chatham Business Alliance, The Chatham Film Club, FilmColumbia, Chatham Keep Farming, and Chatham's Citizen's Advisory Committee.
